Orange is the New Black renewed for three more years

Orange is the New Black , one of Netflix's award
winning original series, has just been renewed
for three more seasons.
The show, which was created by Jenji Kohan
(Weeds ), currently has three seasons streaming
on the service, with the fourth season set
to debut on June 17 .
Cindy Holland, vice president of original
content, said in a press release that Orange is the
New Black was the type of programming Netflix
prided themselves on and was excited to
continue its partnership with Kohan.
"Jenji and her team have produced a
phenomenal and impactful series that is both
funny and dramatic, outrageous and heartfelt,"
Holland said. "Audiences around the world have
come to love the ladies and men of Orange is
the New Black, and we are eager to see where
three more seasons will take them."
The show follows a group of women serving
time in prison and has been hailed by critics
and audiences alike for its devotion to
supporting a diverse cast and touching on
storylines that get ignored by other mainstream
series.
