CREED, EMPIRE , BLACK-ISH TOP NAACP IMAGE AWARDS WINNERS LIST

Creed , Empire, and Black-ish were among the big winners at the
NAACP Image Awards Friday night.
Against the backdrop of
the #OscarsSoWhite controversy , which
has sparked passionate discussion about
diversity and inclusion in Hollywood, the
47th annual Image Awards felt particularly
timely as the ceremony honored people of
color in film, television, music, and
literature.

Empire star Taraji P. Henson, who won
outstanding actress in a drama, added, “We
don’t need to ask for acceptance from
anyone. We are enough, we’ve been
enough, and we always will be enough.”
