As you may have gathered from the title, War for the Planet of the Apes is gearing up for War.
The latest instalment in the surprisingly satisfying Apes reboot run promises “an epic battle.”
New York Comic Con is being treated to an early peek at the movie this week and now details have revealed what the plot will be.
“Caesar and his apes are forced
into a deadly conflict with an army
of humans led by a ruthless
Colonel. After the apes suffer
unimaginable losses, Caesar
wrestles with his darker instincts
and begins his own mythic quest
to avenge his kind. As the journey
finally brings them face to face,
Caesar and the Colonel are pitted
against each other in an epic
battle that will determine the fate
of both their species and the future
of the planet.”
War For the Planet of the Apes will follow after Dawn of the Planet of the Apes . The motion-capture series is a reboot of the classic franchise that debuted in 1968.
The newest installment features a star-stunned roster of actors. The cast includes Andy Serkis, Steve Zahn, Judy Greer, Gabriel Chavarria, Karin Konoval and Woody Harrelson.
War for the Planet of the Apes to hit
theaters on July 14, 2017.
