Game of Thrones season 6 to end with longest ever episode

As we head into the eighth episode of Game of Thrones season
six this Sunday.
HBO has confirmed the rumours surrounding the titles for the
final two episodes, as well as revealing that the season finale
will be the show’s longest episode to date.
Episode 9 is now confirmed as ‘The Battle of the Bastards’,
which presumably refers to the big showdown at Winterfell
between Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton, while the finale – which
will run for 69 minutes – is titled ‘The Winds of Winter’ after
George R.R. Martin’s as-yet-incomplete sixth novel.
Both episodes are being directed by Miguel Sapochnik, who
directed season five’s ‘Hardhome’. As yet, there’s no official
synopses for either episode.
