WEEKEND BOX OFFICE : 'Zootopia' roars to box office domination with $73.7M
Walt Disney’s Zootopia scored a massive
opening weekend with $73.7 million in its
debut frame. That’s the biggest debut
weekend ever for a non-Pixar Walt Disney
animated feature.
Gerard Butler's return to saving the president in London Has Fallen took second place with an undramatic debut of $21.7 million.
Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool took third place with $16.4 million in its fourth weekend. The R-rated Marvel film has earned a staggering total of $311 million since its record-breaking Valentine's weekend debut of $135 million.
Tina Fey's starring role as a journalist sent to Afghanistan in Whiskey Tango Foxtrot took fourth place with $7.6 million in its opening weekend.
