Zootopia managed to stay ahead of two debuts this weekend . The first is Allegiant ,
the third and penultimate film from The Divergent Series ,
which took Friday ’ s top spot but couldn’t outlast Zootopia ’ s run . That ’ s a series low for the adaptations of Veronica Roth ’s novels , which close out
with Ascendant on June 9 , 2017 . The other debut, Patricia
Riggen ’s faith - based drama Miracles from Heaven , holds
on to Friday ’ s third spot for an overall bronze medal for
the weekend , totaling over $18 million since it ’ s Wednesday opening . In fact , the Top Five finished out the same way they ended on Friday , with 10 Cloverfield Lane
and Deadpool at four and five respectively .
