Sony Pictures has unleashed the first trailer for Screen Gems and Lakeshore Entertainment's upcoming
Underworld: Blood Wars . The fifth entry in the Underworld movie franchise sees the return of Kate Beckinsale’s kickass vampire Selene, who finds herself in the middle
of yet another bloody Vampire/Lycan war.

The next installment in the blockbuster franchise follows Vampire death dealer, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance), she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and
Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice.
Underworld: Blood Wars was directed by Anna Foerster (Outlander ) from a script by Cory Goodman (Priest, The Last Witch Hunter ), with Len Wiseman producing. The
movie is slated to open on Jan. 6, 2017.
