Sophie Turner says Game of Thrones season six is 'best season yet'
Sophie Turner has discussed the fate of her character, Sansa, in season six of fantasy drama series Game of Thrones.
In season 5, Sansa was forced to marry the villainous sociopath Ramsay Bolton, and was raped by him in a rape scene widely criticised since it aired.
The sixth series of the show will return on April 24 and is set to air at the same time in the UK and US.
Speaking about season six to Entertainment Weekly, Turner said, "This season is a really, really big one for Sansa. It’s probably her best season yet. It’s her really coming into her own. She, this season, really commands the respect that she deserves and she grabs hold of it and she runs with it and it’s really good."
She also adds that this season fans are "finally getting that storyline that you’ve been craving for the past five seasons," and also noted that Alfie Allen's character, Theon Greyjoy/Reek, will be one to look out for, saying, "I’m so excited to see Alfie’s one this season."
