Watch the first trailer for ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ right here

Two years after the launch of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, director Matt Reeves has returned with the third chapter of the story, titled War for the Planet of the Apes. The sequel isn’t scheduled to arrive until next summer, but on Friday, Fox shared the first trailer for the climactic third act which can be seen through the link below

Here’s the synopsis for the upcoming movie:

“In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an
army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them
face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.”
It might sound like a conclusion of sorts, but Reeves has said in interviews that he “absolutely” has ideas about where the
story will go in future installments.

War for the Planet of the Apes will hit theaters on July 14th,
2017.

Nintendo surprises The Tonight Show with a playable Nintendo Switch and Zelda

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé swung by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon tonight to show off two of the company’s most important products in years — smartphone game Super Mario Run , and the new Switch console.
Fallon gets extremely excited, as he does with basically everything, but this is the first time Nintendo has demonstrated the hybrid system actually working in public.

First and foremost, we finally got a better view of the back of the Nintendo switch. We already identified the cooling vents, and
Nintendo showed off slot for the Game Card and the 3.5mm audio jack on the right side of the device. We also see the kickstand again.

Fils-Aimé shows the Switch running The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on a big screen, then takes the tablet out of the dock so Fallon can play it in portable mode. Fallon also gets to play Super Mario Run on the iPhone, and Fils-Aimé says Apple
stores worldwide will be carrying demo versions of the game. The full version will be available in the App Store on Thursday, December 15th for $9.99.
